Announcements

December 17, 2025 -- Inclement weather policy:

+ It is the decision of each facility whether or not to close .  Some facilities may remain open when others close.

+ Weather closures will be relayed to coaches via email/text as they are received by admins and will be posted on in this section of the league website.  Coaches are responsible for passing the communication on to their team(s).

+ If a team chooses not to drive to the facility if it is open: this decision should be communicated to the opposing coach and your club admin ASAP so the other team can be notified before driving in poor weather conditions!

November 8, 2025 -- Coaches have (mostly) completed scheduling.  Schedules are posted for each age group.  Some error-correction may take place over the next few days - any changes made to the schedule will be listed below the game listings on the division pdf.

WMFA Philosophy

The West Michigan Futsal Alliance has been established and is run by administrators from each of the member clubs.

The philosophy of the WMFA is to continue the development of soccer players in a futsal environment.  Skill development, decision-making, teamwork, and enjoyment are the primary goals of the WMFA.

As such, league administrators work to create a competitive atmosphere within the league, but with a secondary focus on game results and winning.   Results and standings are neither kept nor posted by the WMFA.

2025-26 League Information

Mid-November 2025 - Early-March 2026

Primary Game Days:  Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays

Games are scheduled by team coaches, so they may or may not take place at regular intervals.  This customized scheduling approach is intended to maximize team and player availability.

League schedules and announcements will be posted on this website.

League Organization

The WMFA offers teams an 8-game season.  Each team will play 4 home games and 4 away games over the course of the winter.

Each club is responsible for a home gym or indoor facility in which to play games.

Individual players looking for playing opportunities will need to contact one of the member clubs in the WMFA and inquire about openings on their teams.

Participants in the WMFA can expect league communications to come from their respective club representative.  This website will also be used as an essential communication tool.

Each club has a representative to the league that helps operationally.  Team participation is limited to teams who are part of our member clubs.

History

The West Michigan Futsal Alliance was established in 2021 by founding clubs Midwest United FC, Michigan Rangers FC, PASS, Rapids FC, and SCOR.

The inaugural WMFA season saw 93 boys & girls teams participate in age divisions U7 thru U19.

In 2022, the WMFA welcomed three additional clubs to the Alliance: AC Storm, AYSO United, and Michigan Futbol Academy, boosting the number of teams across all ages to 150 for the 2022-23 season.

In 2023, the WMFA welcomed West Michigan Galaxy & Alliance FC into the fold.

The 2024-25 season saw a total of 185 teams participate, a new WMFA high for participants.
